January of 2025, two bands played at Anderson's 2025 Battle of The Bands, Hard Luck and Stitches. These 2 bands had the now members of Clocked Out. Hard Luck having Jonny Armstrong (Vocals & Guitar) & Aaron Hale (Drums), with Stitches having Kyrin Leggett (Guitar). A few months after Battle of The Bands, the two bands merged into one leading to the creation of Drusen.
After Hard Luck broke up, they decided on the name "Drusen", with the line-up consisting of Jonny Armstrong (Vocals & Guitar), Kyrin Leggett (Bass) , and Aaron Hale (Drums). The name originated from an eye condition Jonny was born with, optic drusen. Drusen was aiming for mainly Nu-Metal with some Pop Punk mixed in. They only had one show under the name Drusen, at Belle & the Bear in July of 2025.
A few months after the peformance and Belle & The Bear, Drusen decided to change their name to fit what they wanted to focus more on, that being Pop Punk. Eventually, Kyrin came up with the name Clocked Out after clocking out of his shift at his job at Jet's Pizza. Aaron's friend, James Ketcham, asked us to play with him at his friends christmas party, which they agreed to. After practicing for with him for a month for the party, they decided to make him officially part of the band, as the rhythm guitarist. After they played at the Christmas party, they started focusing on Anderson High School's 2026 Battle of the Bands. The day came for them to perform, they won the Battle of the Bands. After Battle of The Bands, they were offered to open for Fun While it Lasted, the other band Aaron was in, at Spiral Groove in late February . They accepted the offer and started working on a set-list, while also recording and writing demos for original music. The day came for them to open, their first official show. Clocked Out manage to sell out the entire location and causing the show to be over capacity. Additionally, they played their song "Awkward Space" for the first time ever. They also sold merchandise and sold all of their shirts, by the end of the show they made over $400. After the show, they locked in on recording their single "Awkward Space" and writing their first album. Throughout all of March, they focused on recording, eventually releasing the song in early April. After they had won Battle of the Bands, they were offered to play at the schools pep rally in front of the whole school, that day came a few days after they released "Awkward Space". They got to play two of their original songs and 3 covers at the pep rally. The two originals being "Awkward Space" and the first draft of "Pep Rally". After the pep rally, they went straight back to recording the singles for their album, and are now currently preparing a huge party and shows at Beech Acres Park.
